The meastro of the music department and significant component to the musical ministry of the Lakewood
Church for 8 years, Marcos Witt speaks in English while he ministers, performs musical concertos and produces volumes
of recordings in the native language, Spanish.
As a child, the third born growing up in Durnago, Mexico as a member of a missionary family, Marcos
Witt learned to lean on the love of God through the teachings of his missionary parents and the Eucharist, a book filled
with biblical quotes and responses designed provided to the parish by the Catholic Church. A fusion of his
soul-felt, innate ability paired with teachings about the Savior, Jesus Christ, Marcos Witt has melded
these ingredients into a subtle, yet spicy blend of the Hispanic language and talent, creating the songs he sings
in praise to the Lord, God.
Considering his apparent cross-over begining in music , Marcos Witt should be percieved by fans as
rare, very unique and, in light of his style, genuinely original. Witt's early higher eduction began as
he was educated in the area of classical music at the University of Juarez in Durango, Mexico. Witt traveled to
the United States and enrolled in college in San Antonio, Texas, attending the International Bible College. Now,
in the time he has for liesure and other personal interests, Marcos Witt works toward obatining a master's degree at
the Oral Roberts University in Tulsa Oklahoma.
As a foundation for cultivating a predilection for entertainment, Witt is a natural in the performing
arts---the substance of which has taken him far to places where he has performed song and dance even in Off-Broadway
musicals style. Witt's performaces have dazzled crowds across the nation and have shined a bit of the bright Off-Broadway
lime-light on the stage of Lakewood Church before thousands of appreciating fans who worship the Lord.
