The GMIS Publications team of Excel Market Analyst drives home the point that Gospel music is making an impact
upon Americans across the nation. The reaction from the dug-out?--repeatedly Gospel radio announcers are feeding back with

A 30 year verteran of the radio industry, Andrea Crawford has seen formats wane and change. Over the past
30 years of her career, Andrea has witnessed the growth of Gospel radio from the time she entered the industry in 1979,
having won a Gospel Music Image Award in 1981. Now, as host of the Annointed Melodies Morning Mid-Afternoon show,
Ms. Crawford is listed among a cast of several announcers, is a member of the Texas Gospel Announcers Guild and
works with KCHL FM, a San Antonio broadcasting company owned by Darryl Martin. During the formative years, Gospel
radio was engaged in cutting a path in the broadcast industry. Describing the effects of Gospel radio on
people, Andrea says "...it's the best thing since blue jeans--everybody's doing Gospel! People are becoming involved in
thier faith through the radio broadcast. They are really excited about Gospel music!" Andrea adds that Gospel
radio is a well developed plan that's working.
